Raven familiar study

Before I can start working on my animation I need to figure out exactly how to draw my characters to ensure continuity throughout the whole film. After the Christmas break it was also nice to begin with some warm-up sketches. I felt a bit rusty after not drawing anything for a couple of weeks. The first drawing was the top right one, after that I made the bottom right one, after that top left and finally bottom left. Comparing the two bottom ones it clearly shows how important it is to do warm-up sketches. Like the character itself, the illustrations takes flight after a while. I still need to do a turn-around of this raven character and some other drawings that I can later use as reference for my animation.
